Dear Users,
In accordance with the latest EU regulatory guidelines on stablecoins, we are introducing changes to the availability of crypto assets offered by FinUnion that do not meet the requirements of MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) within the European Economic Area (EEA). We would like to inform you that as of
March 31, 2025, the exchange of USDT stablecoins via the FinUnion platform will no longer be available.
Will crypto asset exchanges on FinUnion still be possible? Yes. As of March 10, 2025, our platform will introduce a new stablecoin,
USDC, which fully complies with MiCA regulations. USDC and other traditional fiat currencies will remain available on our platform without any changes. Additionally, we will soon introduce the ability to exchange using other virtual currencies and expand our product offering.
Until when can users exchange USDT? From
March 31, 2025, 23:59 (UTC), FinUnion will restrict access to non-MiCA-compliant stablecoins for EEA users according to the following schedule:
- Until March 31, 2025, 23:59 (UTC): Users will still be able to exchange non-MiCA-compliant USDT stablecoins for available USDC or traditional fiat currencies on our platform.
- From March 31, 2025, 23:59 (UTC): USDT stablecoin will be completely removed from the platform, and exchanges using it will no longer be available. All pending orders and transactions placed via the FinUnion app or at physical service points will be canceled within 48 hours after this deadline.
The goal of these actions is to enable EEA users to transition to
regulated stablecoins while minimizing market disruptions and ensuring compliance with MiCA regulations regarding stablecoins.
